Sewuese Asa, an accomplished professional with a rich background in both the banking industry and humanitarian and development endeavors, has left a lasting imprint through her diverse career. Her journey unfolds over the years, reflecting her commitment to making a difference in society.

Sewuese commenced her career in the banking sector in 2003, joining Omega Bank plc, where she began to showcase her exceptional financial acumen and strategic prowess. Over the years, she transitioned to roles in prominent institutions such as Platinum Bank plc in 2004 and later ECOBANK Nigeria Ltd, formerly Oceanic Bank, where she served from 2005 to 2017. Throughout her fourteen-year tenure in banking, Sewuese consistently demonstrated her ability to manage complex portfolios and foster client relationships, contributing significantly to the success of each organization she served.

 In 2020, Sewuese embarked on a new chapter in her career, transitioning to the humanitarian sector. She joined Angel Support Foundation (ASF) as a Programme Support Officer, where she initiated self-reliant projects and advocacies aimed at creating awareness on vital environmental activities and promoting gender equity. Her impactful work in ASF led her to represent the organization at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP 26) held in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

In her current role as a Consultant Programme Officer for the Women Rights to Education Programme (WREP), Sewuese continues to drive meaningful change. Since 2022 to present, she has overseen project implementation and provided invaluable guidance as an advisory board member, leveraging her expertise to advocate for women's rights to education and empower marginalized communities.

Sewuese's commitment to global issues is further evidenced through her active participation in international forums. As a delegate at The Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) working group meetings and the Second CSP 9 Informal Preparatory meeting in Switzerland Geneva, she represented the civil society umbrella organization, the Control Arms Coalition.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sewuese remains deeply committed to philanthropy and community empowerment. Currently volunteering as the Vice President of the Kwande Sisters Foundation, she actively engages in grassroots initiatives aimed at driving sustainable development and uplifting underprivileged communities.

Sewuese Asa's journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to creating positive change in the world. Her blend of financial expertise, social consciousness, and passion for advocacy continues to inspire and uplift those around her, leaving a lasting impact on society.

Sewuese Asa attended Benue State University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree (B.A Hons. ) in English in 1998. She is currently completing her master's degree in Gender Studies at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Central Nigeria.

Agudu Raphael holds a Post Graduate Diploma from National Teachers Institute (NTI) Kubwa, Abuja (2017) and a Bachelor of Science Zoology from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State with 6 years of experience in development and humanitarian work. He is responsible for developing outreach strategies and raising funds for such purposes. He also develops project strategies and budget to ensure the projects meet their predefined objectives, conduct research and present findings to the National Programme Manager; manage projects, prepare, and submit narrative reports, assist in the Facilitation of workshops and trainings, as well as developing and maintaining good relationship with co-workers, donors, and partners.

 

Within the period, he managed projects and people working in the field as Project Focal Point (PFP) as well as acting project supervisor to provide feedback to the project coordinator. He is skilled in advocacy, project planning, presentations, team building, program objective management, stakeholder's engagement, and feedback reporting skills. He also has about five years of experience in Humanitarian Response Projects on WASH, Protection and Education in Emergencies (EiE). He assisted in the implementation of the project "Building the Capacity and Advancing the Role of Women in Peace Building and Security Initiatives in Four (4) Communities each in Kwami and Balanga LGAs of Gombe State, North East Nigeria.

Dunama is Lunguda by tribe, the first born of a family of four (4) from Guyuk LGA of Adamawa State who is married with a child. She obtained her First School Living Certificate at Zakawon Primary School, while her O level was from Baptist High School Guyuk. She obtained her OND in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic Mubi.

She had a brief experience with N_power, a Federal Government programme for Nigerian youths as a teacher, and worked with Yaga Africa as a LGA supervisor before joining WREP on the UNICEF project working hand in hand with SUBEB to let women and girls know their right to quality education. In her quest to always learn new things, she is learning how to bake.
