Strengthening cholera preparedness and public health resilience across 16 communities in 4 LGAs of Lagos State, in partnership with the USAID-funded LUWASH Activity.
In partnership with the USAID-funded LUWASH Activity, WREP implemented a targeted cholera preparedness and response initiative to address recurrent public health risks in Lagos State. The intervention focused on strengthening surveillance and response capacity by equipping partners and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to identify, manage, and refer cholera cases.
Immediate Outputs: Stakeholders mapped and invited; venue secured for engagement meetings.
Core Results: Readiness of stakeholders to participate in project activities: strong government buy-in and civil society engagement achieved.
Long-term Impact: Full impact could not be realised due to the global closure of USAID projects in February 2025. WREP stands ready to resume implementation should funding be reinstated.
