The Graduate Institute’s Programme on Gender & Global Change recently brought women leaders from Senegal and Nigeria to Geneva for an event which explored the potential of Women’s Situation Rooms. Responding to the threat of violence associated with elections, the Women’s Situation Room is an innovative intervention which seeks to turn the threat of electoral violence into an opportunity for promoting sustainable democracy.
